Prof. Scott Galloway takes aim at Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google

Scott Galloway is the Clinical Professor of Marketing at the NYU Stern School of Business and has built a serious profile through his commentaries about digital marketing and online businesses. In this instalment of his weekly video, Winners and Losers, he takes aim at what he calls the “idolatry of innovators” that lets four of the world’s most powerful companies escape the scrutiny they warrant and criticism they deserve.

Amazon, the world’s fifth biggest company, has paid only $1.8 billion in taxes since 2008, Apple flaunts privacy laws, Facebook facilitates the undermining of democratic processes and Google is unregulated in throwing up whatever it wants as answers to internet searches.
